Your Morning Beauty Boost: A Delicious Acai Bowl Recipe + Face Mask

Between the end of year deadlines, the holiday obligations, and the seemingly never-ending to-do list, ‘tis the season to be stressed. Often times right about now many of us are sporting skin that looks a little—well, fine…a lot—tired. And, if your skin needs a wake-up call, you’ll want to reach for energizing skin care. A product we love when fatigued face strikes is The Body Shop’s Amazonian Acai Energizing Radiance Mask. We’re sharing more about this acai berry face mask plus a delicious recipe for a refreshing acai bowl below!.

The Mask: Amazonian Acai Energizing Radiance Mask

Whether caused by the time of the year or for number of other reasons, when skin looks fatigued it can often appear dull, lackluster, and older than it really is. Thankfully, this Acai Energizing Radiance face mask—inspired by the rituals of Amazonian tribes—can help to revitalizing the appearance of a tired-looking complexion. The Body Shop’s Beauty Botanist Jennifer Hirsch recommends reaching for when you need to hit the reset button. ““[It is] the perfect pick me up for skin facing the challenges of environmental pollution, stress, and modern life,” she says. Formulated with antioxidant-rich acai berry extract, guarana seed extract, and Community Trade Babassu oil, this energizing face mask is likely just want you need during the hectic holiday season! Use the juicy gel-textured mask at room temperature and apply using a facial mask brush for a more even coverage and a spa-like application.

The Meal: A Morning (Noon and Night!) Acai Bowl Recipe

While the mask was inspired by Beauty Recipes from Nature—hence the name of the collection of masks which you can learn more about here—we were inspired by the mask itself to create an equally energizing recipe for a refreshing acai bowl. While you can enjoy the bowl at any time of the day, we love to whip one up for a fruity breakfast that reminds us of the warmer summer months when it feels like anything but outside. Like raspberries and blueberries, acai berries are pint-sized but powerful sources of antioxidants. What’s more? They taste amazing.

What You’ll Need:

  • 1-2 Frozen Acai Berry Smoothie Packs
  • 2 Bananas
  • 3-4 Dates
  • Slivered Almonds
  • Raw Shredded Coconut
  • ¼ Cup Chia Seeds
  • ¼ Cup Blueberries
  • Your Favorite Granola

What You’ll Do:

  1. In a blender, mix together the frozen acai berry pack, one banana, and the dates
  2. Pour into a large bowl
  3. Top with sliced banana, almonds, shredded coconut, chia seeds, blueberries, and granola

Enjoy!
