An Unfussy Skin Routine Men Will Actually Follow

It’s fair to assume that most guys don’t really spend all too much time on their skin care. Notice that we didn’t say ALL guys (we’re not trying to point the finger here, fellas), but let’s face it: These days, you don’t really find many men that are super jazzed about taking care of their skin with a daily regimen. In fact, in the case of most men I know—from my Dad to old friends—it’s unlikely that basic skin care—think: cleansing and moisturizing—is even top of mind. The reason for this may not be due to a lack of interest in achieving better skin, but rather a lack of knowledge on where to start. Good news, guys. Ahead, we’re sharing a straightforward, 4-step skin routine that’s easy to follow and covers all the basics. Read on to discover how to get the best skin of your life.  

1. CLEANSE

The first step of every skin care routine should be cleansing thoroughly yet gently. This ritual—morning and night—helps remove dirt, debris, and pollution from the surface of your skin. (Think of it this way: Any time you brush your teeth, reach for the face wash immediately after.) But don’t just splash a little soap and water on your complexion and call it quits. Instead, reach for a gentle cleanser—like Baxter of California Daily Face Wash—that won’t strip your skin of its vital moisture.

2. EXFOLIATE

Exfoliating is important for all skin because it helps slough away dead skin cell buildup on skin’s surface that can make your complexion look dull.
