Vichy LiftActiv Vitamin C Serum

As a beauty editor, I know the importance of using an antioxidant serum daily. (They help protect the skin against free radical damage that can lead to signs of premature aging.) But many of the vitamin C serums I’ve tested either have a distinct smell that instantly turns me off from using them or they pill under the rest of my skin-care products. This one, made with 15 percent pure vitamin C doesn’t do either, and it has hyaluronic acid in it, too, which helps keep my dry skin hydrated throughout the day — win-win.

Soap & Glory Magnifi-coco Buff and Ready Scrub

Getting me to love a fragrant body scrub isn’t an easy feat because I gravitate toward more subtle smelling shower products in general. That’s why I’ve surprised myself by choosing this one as a favorite this month. I actually really love it — coconut fragrance and all! Plus, its texture is gritty but moisturizing and just feels like heaven every time I use it.

Bare Republic Tinted Mineral Sunscreen

Finding a mineral sunscreen that doesn’t leave my skin with a white cast is challenging, to say the least. And although there are tinted options abound, some are still too light, while others are chalky, thick and leaves something to be desired. When the Bare Republic Tinted Mineral Sunscreen I was cautiously optimistic — I was a fan of the original tinted formula, but found it left my skin looking a little ashy. This one promised sheerer coverage and an easy-to-spread formula, two of the biggest asks on my list. Happily, this product performs and is now my go-to for everyday wear. I can use a good amount without worrying about looking ashy after and feel properly protected from UVA and UVB rays.
