How L’Oréal USA Celebrated Pride Month

To honor and celebrate the LGBTQ community during this year’s pride month, L'Oréal USA—Skincare.com’s parent company—commissioned a powerful campaign called “Signs of Pride.” Four members of the company’s “OUT@L'Oréal” group were interviewed by LGBTQ artists, discussing topics ranging from the importance of acceptance to personal anecdotes of expressing gender. The artists, hearing these messages of pride, converted them into signs held during the New York City Pride March on June 24th.

In solidarity and support of the entire LGBTQ community, hundreds of L’Oréal USA employees marched with those expertly-curated signs in hand, and alongside a float developed by Kiehl’s, a beloved brand under the L’Oréal portfolio.

“Pride is an important movement that celebrates inclusivity,” Xavier Vey, President and COO of L'Oréal USA’s Luxe Division and Executive Sponsor of OUT@L'Oréal. “At L’Oreal USA, our employees are our greatest assets and the #SignsofPride campaign is a way to champion our people by bringing their stories to life in a unique way that we hope will resonate with, and inspire, others.”

But it’s not solely during pride month that L'Oréal USA is advancing initiatives for the LGBTQ community. A few years ago, the company created a think tank called “OUT@L'Oréal” dedicated to championing diversity and inclusion for all individuals, and to empower the LGBTQ employee community to feel accepted and heard in the workplace. “L'Oréal USA also supports many other LGBTQ initiatives and organizations including volunteering at the Ali Forney Center, participating in local AIDS walks, matching donations and more,” says Vey.
