@Yzellebeauty Is Possibly the Chicest Skin-Care Account You’ll Ever Follow

As lovers of all things beauty, we can’t help but stop and hit follow when we come across a chic skin-care account on Instagram.  After stumbling across @yzellebeauty’s dreamy posts, we knew we had to find out more about the woman behind it. .Ahead, we chat with the Yzelle Duranabout why she started the account in the first place, the last product she finished and what skin-care advice she thinks you should not take.

We’re obsessed with your beauty Instagram account — what inspired you to start it?

I had actually just finished my course of Accutane (Isotretinoin) and was really focused on healing my skin and finding the best skin care. I also felt like I needed a creative outlet, so that inspired me to create my beauty account.

Tell us about your current skin-care routine. 

My morning routine is usually cleanse, tone, vitamin C, moisturize and SPF. My night routine includes double cleansing, toner, retinol and moisturizer.

What’s the last skin-care product you finished? Would you buy it again? 

I actually just finished the Tatcha Deep Cleanse and The Water Cream at the same time! I'm so sad about it because they were some of the best products that have worked for my skin. I will definitely be repurchasing. 

What’s one thing you wished you learned sooner, in regards to skin care? 

I wish I had learned to check the ingredients list sooner. I feel like I would always just use products that my friends or influencers would recommended, and looking back now, I realize that was a huge mistake. I think it's super important to understand the ingredients that are in your skin care and makeup, especially if your skin is sensitive or acne-prone.

My facial steamer! I use it once a week and it's always such a treat.

What’s the skin-care ingredient you can’t get enough of? 

This question is so tough ... but truthfully, I can't get enough of acids!

What’s your favorite thing about skin care?

I love that a good skin-care routine can be so therapeutic. I always love coming home, removing my makeup (along with the stresses of the day) and taking care of my skin. It's one of my favourite forms of self-care.
