Kiehl's & Matthew McConaughey Partner for a Great Cause

If there’s one thing that should come to mind when you think of Kiehl’s—aside from A+ skin care products, of course—it’s philanthropy. The cult-favorite, New York-based apothecary has spearheaded numerous campaigns to raise social awareness for issues near and dear to the hearts of many, the latest of which is autism. That’s right, the brand recently announced a unique partnership with actor Matthew McConaughey (no stranger to philanthropy himself) for its 2017 Global Philanthropic Program to benefit Autism Speaks.

The campaign is centered around a short video (shared below) of McConaughey discussing the need for additional support of children with autism. The goal? To not only raise funds and resources for those living with autism, but to also help spread awareness and understanding on a global scale. For every share the video receives on social media platforms, Kiehl’s plans to donate $1 (up to $200,000) to Autism Speaks.

“Autism affects an estimated 70 million people worldwide, and many of the students enrolled in my just keep livin after school programs are on the autism spectrum. I’ve witnessed firsthand the effects of autism, not only on the child, but on their families as well,” said McConaughey. “I’m humbled to collaborate with Kiehl’s and Autism Speaks to help provide early diagnosis and services for these incredible children and families, making a lifetime of difference.”

But that’s not all. The partnership also includes the launch of a Limited Edition Ultra Facial Cream ($47.50 MSRP), with packaging designed by McConaughey. The vibrant design features uplifting colors, geometric shapes, designs of bikes and planes, and the iconic Autism Speaks blue puzzle piece.
