Dry Skin Won't Go Away? Try These 3 Products

There are so many different causes of dry skin, so it’s no wonder that it is among the most common skin concern reported. And while winter weather certainly doesn’t help, whipping winds and cold temps aren’t the only thing to blame for your persistent dry skin. Your dry skin can be caused by harsh products, ingredients, soaps, and detergents. It can also be caused by a poor skin care routine, long and hot showers, and certain medical conditions. Among these medical conditions are psoriasis and eczema, both of which are chronic and may be associated with uncomfortable itching. But one less talked-about condition, at least as it relates to your skin, is diabetes.

Did you know that diabetes can impact your skin’s look and feel as well? According to the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), diabetics are incredibly prone to dry skin, so much so that it can get extremely itchy and uncomfortable. For all you diabetics currently reading this, these symptoms may be all too familiar. What may also be familiar is the sensation of being at a loss when it comes to finding the proper skin care products that can help.

Well, here’s some good news. CeraVe has released a 3-product range that can help transform dry skin and bring some relief to diabetics and non-diabetics alike. We’re breaking down each product in CeraVe’s Diabetics’ Dry Skin Relief line, below.

CeraVe Diabetics’ Dry Skin Relief Cleansing Wash

The CeraVe Diabetic’s Dry Skin Relief Cleansing Wash is formulated with bilberry, a source of antioxidants, as well as urea, which helps to attract and retain the skin’s moisture. Of course, it wouldn’t be a CeraVe product if it wasn’t also formulated with three essential ceramides. A great combo for diabetics’ dry skin, this cleansing wash gently cleanses and soothes dry skin in just one wash.

To Use: Make sure to wash your skin with that lukewarm water—not too hot, not too cold. Then massage the cleanser gently into your skin before rinsing it off.
