The Benefits of Nighttime Skin Care

Beauty sleep isn’t just something for princesses in fairy tales, nor is it simply a lie your parents used to tell you to convince you to go sleep as a child. As the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) explains, the term “beauty rest” exists for a reason. Sleep gives your body the opportunity to refresh and renew itself—and that includes your skin. Expanding on this topic, Chamberlain reveals that there are “golden hours of sleep” that fall between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. During this time, “your skin is regenerating itself.” Knowing all of that, it’s important to get a good night’s rest each and every night, but equally important is caring for your skin before catching those zzz’s. Since your skin is working overtime to repair itself during deep sleep, targeted nighttime skin care routines can help move things in the right direction.

Why You Should Use Lancôme Absolue Precious Cells Rose Drop Night Peel Concentrate

Of course, applying any old product to your skin before setting your alarm and calling it a night won’t necessarily lead to waking up with better-looking skin. The products you pick to use at night matter. Chamberlain shares that the Absolue Precious Cells Rose Drop Night Peel Concentrate can help soften lines, and allow your skin to look more youthful.

Take a look at the Absolue Precious Cells Rose Drop Night Peel Concentrate and you’ll quickly notice something special about it; it’s split into two phases. The top layer is golden in color and contains oils, including argan oil and sunflower seed oil. This layer exists to help combat the drying effects that are often associated with face peels. Underneath is the pink rose layer, which makes up for 70% of the formula. Formulated with glycolic acid, the rose layer helps to provide an exfoliating action. The entire formula also has the Absolue Precious Cell technology with grand rose extracts. What makes this peeling concentrate stand out from the crowd? According to Chamberlain, when combined the two phases are gentle enough to use nightly. “Typically with glycolic acid peels, you can only use them for a short amount of time and then you have to stop,” Chamberlain says. “What makes this formula different is that you can use it every night continuously. It’s gentle enough to use nightly, but strong enough to see visible results when you wake up in the morning.”

How to Use Lancôme Absolue Precious Cells Rose Drop Night Peel Concentrate

After a long day, you’ll need to get your skin completely clean before following through with the rest of your skin care regimen. Once you’ve cleansed, removing all makeup and impurities from the surface of your skin, you’re almost ready to apply the Absolue Precious Cells Rose Drop Night Peel Concentrate. But first, remember how the peeling concentrate has two layers? In order for it to be its most effective, you’ll need to blend those two phases. To do that, shake the bottle well before using. Then, add two drops of the mixed formula to the palm of your hand and rub your palms together. Gently apply the concentrate to your skin using your palms to massage your skin as you do. Be sure to avoid the skin surrounding your eyes and your lips. Best of all? The peel can work itself into any evening skin care routine. “You put it on, and put the rest of your nighttime products right on top,” Chamberlain says.
