7 Skin-Care Products Our Editors Are Loving in September

It’s a brand new month, which means different products are making their way into our bathroom cabinets and skin-care routines. These are the products Skincare.com’s editors can’t live without this September.

L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Derm Intensives 10% Pure Glycolic Acid Serum

I know how important glycolic acid is for my skin (hello exfoliation!), but many formulations I’ve tried have irritated my sensitive-ish complexion. Despite its relatively high percentage of glycolic acid, this one doesn’t. I’ve been using it at night and then layering the the L’Oréal Paris Revitalift Derm Intensives 1.5% Pure Hyaluronic Acid Serum on top, and my skin has been noticeably more even in tone and texture but not dry or flaky. Total win!

Savor Beauty Cherry Collagen Peel

My love for Savor Beauty’s natural Korean-inspired skin-care products is real. I’m a huge fan of the brand’s Pumpkin Enzyme Peel and Yuzu Lemonade Peel, and the most recent addition is no exception. The Cherry Collagen Peel is made with, you guessed it, cherry juice for antioxidant protection, pineapple and papaya fruit extracts to exfoliate and pea peptides. My skin looks plump and juicy after using it, making it the real cherry on top of my skin-care routine (sorry, couldn’t help it).

Ursa Major Vital Spring Face Lotion

Gentle moisturizers are exactly what I go for, and lately, I’ve been reaching for the Ursa Major Vital Spring Face Lotion non-stop. This super soothing formula has natural ingredients like marula oil and cucumber that helps to hydrate and plump the look of skin with hydration. Plus, it’s full of antioxidants as well, offering major pollution protection (pun intended).

L’Oréal Paris Cell Renewal Rosy Tone Moisturizer With SPF

I’m perpetually running late in the morning, which has a major impact on my skin-care routine. That’s one of the reasons I was so excited to find out L’Oréal Paris Cell Renewal Rosy Tone Moisturizer now comes in a version with SPF. It saves me just a *little* bit of time by combining my moisturizer and sunscreen in one. The creamy rosy tone helps hydrate and smooth my skin, leaving my complexion with a natural glow. When I want to go makeup-free, it’s the final step in my morning routine, otherwise, it creates a nice base for the rest of my face makeup.

Glow Recipe Avocado Melt Retinol Sleeping Mask

Retinol is the latest skin-care ingredient I’ve been experimenting with, and I’ve been trying to find the perfect product that fits in seamlessly with my pre-existing routine. Glow Recipe’s new Avocado Melt Retinol Sleeping Mask is a retinol-infused version of one of my go-to products, the brand’s original Avocado Melt Sleeping Mask, so incorporating this new version into my product lineup just made sense. I’m getting my daily (or nightly, technically) helping of retinol while keeping my skin soothed and hydrated with avocado. It’s a win-win situation.

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Adapalene Gel 0.1% Acne Treatment

If you haven’t already heard about adapalene, this super-potent topical retinoid treatment helps to clear and prevent blackheads, whiteheads, acne blemishes and clogged pores. It has become my go-to skin-care product to keep those unwanted blemishes away for good. Because adapalene can make your skin sensitive to UV rays, however, it’s important to note that you should limit your time in the sun when using this product.
