- DIY Under-Eye Sheet Mask
In need of a little under-eye pick-me-up? Ahead, we share how an under-eye sheet mask can help hydrate the eye contour and even temporarily reduce the appearance of puffy-looking peepers!
Typically sheet masks are soaked with skin-benefiting serums or essences. Like other masks, they can have a variety of benefits from helping to hydrate your skin or even brighten the appearance of your complexion. (In fact, we share of few sheet masks we can’t get enough of, here!) But if you’d prefer to concentrate on one specific area of skin—think: your delicate eye contour—you can use a sheet mask for that as well! If you’d prefer not to take a pair of scissors to your favorite full-face mask, consider making a DIY under-eye sheet mask at home!
All you need are a few cotton rounds and one of your favorite eye serums!
Step 1: Select Your Serum
Kiehl’s Super Multi-Corrective Eye-Opening Serum
Formulated with botanical extracts and sodium hyaluronate—the sodium salt of the hydration powerhouse that is hyaluronic acid—this eye serum can help to visibly lift, firm and restore a youthful-looking appearance to the eye area.
Kiehl’s Super Multi-Corrective Eye-Opening Serum, $78
Vichy Liftactiv Serum 10 Eyes and Lashes
This eyelash fortifying—added bonus!—wrinkle-reducing serum helps to brighten the appearance of the eye contour and minimize visible signs of aging. Its formula is infused with rhamnose—a gentle ant-aging ingredient derived from the sugar of birch trees—hyaluronic acid, and ceramides.
Vichy Liftactiv Serum 10 Eyes and Lashes, $35
Lancôme Advanced Génifique Eye Light Pearl
We are obsessed with this lightweight eye serum. The applicator—for when you aren’t using it as an under-eye sheet mask—massages the area around the eye contour as an added treat!
Lancôme Advanced Génifique Eye Light Pearl, $69
Step 2: Make Your Under-Eye Sheet Mask
- Take the cotton round and separate it in half.
- Place enough of your eye serum on each half that it’s covered but not soaked through.
- Apply the halves under each eye and allow it to sit for 10 minutes.
- Tap in the excess with the tip of your ring finger.
For added benefit, layer your favorite eye cream over the excess serum before you hit the hay for the night! We share some of our favorite eye creams for multiple eye contour concerns here!
