Our solution to making your daily SPF regimen a little more enjoyable is to find a formula you actually look forward to using. With so many different formulas out there, it’s not an impossible task. Kiehl’s is one of my favorite skin-care brands. Its masks hold a special place in my heart (especially the Calendula & Aloe Soothing Hydration Mask), along with its amazing serums (Midnight Recovery Concentrate, anyone)? But this summer, I plan on using Super Fluid UV Defense SPF 50+ Sunscreen daily. It’s lightweight, leaves my skin with a matte finish and also has pollution protection — which is a must in NYC. I recommend this formula for those of you who dislike thick formulas and need something for daily use.

After a bad experience getting a scalp sunburn while attending a graduation in the heat last year, I am now more aware than ever of how important it is to protect my head from the sun. That’s why this Coola mist has completely changed the game for me. All it takes is a few spritzes of the cooling coconut spray that boasts SPF 30 to protect my scalp and roots from burn. I love this so much that I wish I could go back in time and use this before that scalding scalp day, but for now, I’ll be keeping it by my side for summers to come.

When it comes to finding the perfect sunscreen, I’m admittedly really picky. It needs to dry clear, offer at least a little moisture and play nicely with my other face products (in other words, no pilling). Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen meets all of my requirements in addition to offering a primer-like finish. It’s my indisputable go-to and will be in heavy rotation this summer and beyond.

I’m a big fan of mineral sunscreens but less so of the white cast they can leave behind. This La Roche-Posay pick offers the best of both worlds, though. It has an impressive 15% zinc oxide and 5% titanium dioxide for high, broad-spectrum sun protection but rubs in easily, so I don’t look like a ghost for the rest of the day. Plus, it’s been tested on sensitive skin and has yet to irritate mine!

It took me longer than I would like to admit to get into the habit of wearing sunscreen every single day, but I have officially been converted and I never leave the house without it. Right now I’m obsessed with Priori Tetra fx250 Broad Spectrum SPF 50 Sunscreen. It has a mineral formula enriched with antioxidants and DNA repair enzymes to protect skin not only against the sun’s UV rays but also other environmental elements and blue light damage. Pro tip: I’ve been mixing my illuminating primer in with this sunscreen every morning to prep my skin for makeup. It gives me a glowing complexion and provides a smooth canvas for my foundation. The first day I did this, everyone in the office remarked how great my skin looked!

This mineral sunscreen stick is small enough to fit in just about every purse and clutch I own. I’m stocking up for summer and tossing one in every bag, so I can always reapply as needed throughout the day.
