The Face Mask You Need This Fall
Lancôme Aboslue L’Extrait Ultimate Rose Serum Mask Review
We review Lancôme's brand new Absolue L'Extrait Ultimate Rose Serum Mask and share why it is the face mask ritual you need to try if you want glowing skin this fall!
Keep your summer glow going strong straight into fall thanks to this new rose serum face mask experience from Lancôme…yes, we said experience. Unlike most other face masks which are ready to go right out of the package, the Lancôme Aboslue L’Extrait Ultimate Rose Serum Mask involves a beauty ritual that is a true sensory experience and helps skin to look more radiant and beautiful.
The mask—which we think is definitely worth the splurge—was given to us by Lancôme at a recent press event to review and it’s become an experience I, personally, don’t think I can ever live without. Combining the luxurious texture and concentration of a serum with pearls of Rose Native Cells, the mask helps to revive the appearance of the signs of youth—yes, please!—leaving skin looking softer, smoother, and more even.
Much like Lancôme’s other skin care launches, this mask involves a spa-like ritual, requiring you to prepare it just prior to use with a unique technique—side note: we really recommend playing a little relaxing spa music as you go through the steps to really take your experience up a notch.
How to Use Lancôme's Absolue L'Extrait Ultimate Rose Serum Mask
Step 1: Activate the Rose Oil
Using the provided spoon, you’ll scoop some of the beautiful pink pearls from the jar and pour them into the mixing dish. Then, add the full contents of one serum-base monodose, stirring to completely cover the pearls. As the rose pearls meet the serum base, the membranes break down and the pearls release the precious and fragile rose oil extracts within. Bonus? They also release the unbelievably calming scent of fresh-cut roses. After letting the mixture sit for three minutes, stir again until all of the pearls have completely dissolved into the serum.
Step 2: Apply the Mask
Once it’s been fully blended, apply the mask onto clean skin on your face and neck. If you really want an elevated spa-like experience, try applying your mask with a brush, you’ll get a more even application, and well…it just feels more luxurious this way. Allow the mask to sit on your skin for five minutes
Step 3: Removal
Step 3: Removal
Soak a wash cloth with warm water and ring out any excess water in the sink. Use the cloth to gently remove the residue of the mask from your face and immediately apply a moisturizer or lotion and then continue with your normal beauty routine.
