Why One Editor Can’t Get Enough of This At-Home Glycolic Acid Peel

I’ve tried tons of over-the-counter products designed to smooth and correct my uneven complexion, but unfortunately, the only treatments that have ever really worked for me are the pricey chemical peels administered by my dermatologist. So when IT Cosmetics gifted me the Hello Results Resurfacing Glycolic Acid Treatment + Caring Night Oil, an at-home chemical peel treatment, I was excited to give it a try. Ahead, I’m sharing my thoughts on the glycolic acid peel treatment.

According to the brand, the Hello Results Resurfacing Glycolic Acid Treatment + Caring Night Oil is a two-in-one product that contains both a peel treatment and a potent blend of botanical oils. Formulated with glycolic acid, an alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA), the peel gently exfoliates the dead skin cells that sit on the surface of the skin to reveal brighter, softer and more even-looking skin, while argan and meadowfoam seed oils help to hydrate the skin.

Here’s how I use it: After I wash my face each night, I shake the bottle a few times to make sure that the glycolic acid and the oils are blended together. Then, I pump two drops of the treatment into my palm. After that, I gently press it into my skin. There’s no need to wash it off, so I follow up with a thick moisturizer, like the brand’s Confidence in Your Beauty Sleep Night Cream, for an extra boost of hydration and head off to bed. After about a month of using the treatment in my nighttime skincare routine, I’ve noticed that my skin looks and feels smoother.
