So, when we found out Kerastase launched a new line of hair products formulated not just with coconut oil, but with 96 percent natural origin ingredients—we jumped all over it! What we love most about Aura Botanica is not just the fact that it’s formulated with coconut oil, but rather that it is bursting with natural origin ingredients. Natural origin ingredients are ingredients that retain more than 50 percent of their molecular structure after being processed from their original source. Aura Botanica’s collection is formulated with at least 96 percent natural origin ingredients including an infusion of Samoan coconut oil and Moroccan argan oil.

Aura Botanica is formulated with sustainably sourced Samoan coconut oil that has been handpicked to preserve purity as well as with Moroccan Argan oil—considered liquid gold in the hair industry. Finally, the other key standout of the products is the pleasing aromatic fragrance they all feature.

The sustainable sourcing of the natural origin ingredients was one of the key reasons supermodel Toni Garrn signed on to be the face of the collection. Recognized for her own international humanitarian work, Toni shared at a brand event that Kerastase’s respect for sustainably sourcing its ingredients was one of the things that attracted her to Aura Botanica. We can’t help but think it was the inclusion of coconut oil in the formula that sealed the deal. When we asked Toni what her number one desert island beauty product was—you know, that one thing you cannot live without—her response came easily: coconut oil. She told us that she uses it everywhere as a moisturizer, a lip conditioner, and in her gorgeous silky blonde locks.

No hair care or styling arsenal is complete without a nourishing oil blend. Oils are some of our favorite ingredients in skin care thanks to their ability to offer hydration and nourishment, so naturally we were drawn to this aromatic oil blend in the Aura Botanical collection. Comprised of 99 percent natural origin ingredients including avocado and jojoba oils, and, this gorgeously scented oil blend can be used in a variety of ways! To use as a pre-cleanse, apply to the lengths and ends of your hair, twist to allow the product to soak in, leave for 15 minutes and then cleanse and condition as usual. As a deep conditioning treatment for thicker locks, blend in with your conditioner before applying.
