Editor’s Pick: L’Oréal Paris Age Perfect Cell Renewal Rosy Tone Mask Review

As a little girl, it probably didn’t cross your mind how you skin may begin to change as you age. Rather, sneaking into Mom’s makeup bag to apply blush was less because your skin looked dull and could use an added flush and more of a way to have fun and pass the time. As you’ve gotten older, however, it’s possible that you’ve started to gravitate towards a blush collection of your own. That’s because as skin matures, it begins to lose its natural rosy tone of youth. Knowing that, how could you not want it back?

As it turns out, there’s more than one solution! Beyond faking a flush with the help of your favorite blush, you can actually bring back skin’s rosy glow with the help of certain skin care products. One in particular? The L’Oreal Paris’ Age Perfect Cell Renewal Rosy Tone Mask. If you think your skin might be in need of a rosy tone revival, don’t go anywhere just yet. L’Oreal Paris sent over a complimentary sample of Age Perfect Cell Renewal Rosy Tone Mask, and we put it to the test. Read on for our review of the L’Oreal Paris Age Perfect Cell Renewal Rosy Tone Mask!

L’Oréal Paris Age Perfect Cell Renewal Rosy Tone Mask Review

Recommended for: If you’re over 40, this one’s for you! This mask is a unique innovation for mature skin.

Getting our hands on the Rosy Tone Mask was awfully exciting, but it wasn’t our first foray into trying to restore our skin’s natural, youthful looking hue. The brand’s Age Perfect line also includes the L’Oréal Paris Age Perfect Cell Renewal Rosy Tone Moisturizer, which, (spoiler alert) we are equally obsessed with. Both products are formulated with imperial peony, AHA, and a mineral exfoliant, and are meant to renew skin’s youthful looking rosiness. As you age, dead skin cells build up on skin’s surface and as a result, the natural pink tone is hidden and complexion becomes dull, making products like the Rosy Tone Mask a true necessity. Not entirely convinced? Just wait ‘til you hear the reasons we’re officially naming the mask a must-have. Yes, there’s more!

Why We Love It: Of course, an immediate rosy, radiant skin look doesn’t hurt, but that’s not even the best part about this face mask. The thing that secured its place of honor in our skin care collections is how quickly it works. It only takes…wait for it…five minutes to recover skin’s rosy tone. Yes, you read that right. The mask sloughs away dull dead skin cells to visibly smooth skin’s surface, while the refreshing gelée (read: non-greasy!) texture helps to rejuvenate washed-out tone, all in a matter of minutes. So, you’ll know if it’s a winner in your book basically right away. Of course, that doesn’t mean one use and you’re good to go. You’ll want to keep using it since with continued use skin looks more youthful and more beautiful. How can you say no to that?

How to Use It: Before you apply any kind of face mask, you should get your skin completely clean first. What good is pampering your skin if your complexion is coated in impurities? Once you’ve utilized your favorite facial cleanser, smooth the mask onto your clean skin, avoiding the eye area. Leave it on for 5 minutes, busying yourself with brushing your teeth or applying a nourishing lip conditioner—aka a few minutes of much-deserved self-care. When the waiting game is over, gently massage the mask into your skin using light, circular motions to help exfoliate. Rinse off with water. For best results, don’t make the mask a special occasion treat—you’ll want to use it twice a week.
