December 01, 2020It’s a brand-new month, which means different products are making their way into our bathroom cabinets and skin-care routines. These are the products Skincare.com’s editors can’t live without this December.

Lancôme Rénergie Lift Multi-Action Eye Cream
You can read my full review of this eye cream here, but suffice it to say, I’m obsessed. The rich, creamy texture hydrates my under-eye area all day but absorbs in seconds, so I don’t waste time waiting around for it dry. I’ve found that it brightens the look of my chronic dark circles and makes me look instantly more awake. Plus, a little goes a long way, so the jar will last for months.

Kiehl’s Power-Packed Essentials Set
December is the perfect time to reevaluate your skin-care routine and stock it with products that prepare you for a new year of good skin days. In 2021, I’m looking to target fine lines that have crept up during 2020 and uneven tone caused by some summer sun damage (oops!). With Kiehl’s Line-Reducing Vitamin C Serum and Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Vitamin C Eye Serum, this holiday set contains everything I need to tackle those skin concerns and amp up my anti-aging efforts.

NYX Professional Makeup Marshmellow Smoothing Primer
Brisk temperatures always wreak havoc on my skin, making it increasingly difficult to smoothly apply my foundation every morning. Some spots on my face are flaky and dry, while others (particularly in my T-zone) are on the greasier side, so I’ve been in search of a face primer to even things out. The Marshmellow Smoothing Primer has been able to do just that and more. It’s easy to apply and has a soft, slightly sticky texture that grips right onto the skin and preps it for foundation. It’s the bridge between my skin-care routine and makeup that I never knew I needed. Plus, it comes with the cutest marshmallow-shaped applicator sponge.
The rest of my body has also been pretty flaky the past couple of weeks as well, which is why I’ve turned to Skin Party to really help nourish, condition and soften the skin below my neck. It has a combination of squalane, shea butter and sweet almond oil that helps replenish the skin and restore areas that are particularly depleted and dry. Not to mention, it has the sweetest subtle scent.

Melach 33 Luxe CBD Body Butter
During the winter, I struggle with dry patches on my body that are flaky, itchy and uncomfortable. And while I need a thick moisturizer to help soothe my skin, there’s nothing I hate more than a product that’s so thick it’s difficult to spread. After trying this option from Melach 33, I finally found a body butter that offers the intense moisturizing benefits I need without feeling too thick or greasy. The CBD-infused formula glides over the body with ease and is fast-absorbing. Every night after my shower, I lather my body in this luxurious-feeling butter and wake up to skin that is significantly softer and more moisturized.

This holiday season, the number-one gift on my list is this kit from Bluemercury. The set, which has a value of $260, but costs just $99, is an amazing deal and a beauty lover’s dream. With everything from the SkinCeuticals HA Intensive Serum to save skin from becoming dry in the winter air to the SpaRituals Hand Sanitizer, which is a must-have these days, it’s a no-brainer holiday gift. I’ll be stocking up on these for everyone on my list — and picking up an extra for me, too!
L’Oréal Paris Cooling Night Rosy Tone Moisturizer
The winter always leaves my skin feeling dry and looking super dull. To get some color back in my face, I’ve been leaning on this new night cream from L’Oréal Paris. It delivers hydration without leaving behind a greasy residue or film. The formula is also infused with rosy pigments so my skin looks perked up, plump and awake in the morning. The best part? The cream has a cooling effect when applied that cools the skin by two degrees — no skin-care fridge needed.

Saje Aroma Rise Speckled White Diffuser
The minute the weather drops below 50 degrees, my dry skin goes from dry to drier, so I pretty much need a constant stream of moisture. In addition to my morning and night skin-care routines, I’ve started using this Saje diffuser throughout the day. I made it a fixture in my work-from-home setup so I can keep the humidity going while I sit at my desk, and it’s made a difference, for sure. My face doesn’t feel constantly tight, and I haven’t needed to reapply moisturizer every few hours. Plus, it’s surprisingly relaxing. I’d definitely recommend it if you want to bring some chill vibes to your space.
