6 Summer Skin-Care Products Our Editors Are Loving This July

It’s a brand-new month, which means different products are making their way into our bathroom cabinets and skin-care routines. These are the products Skincare.com’s editors can’t live without this July.

CeraVe Baby Hydrating Sunscreen Broad-Spectrum SPF 45

There are few things worse than trying to wrestle a toddler into wearing sunscreen. Beyond just terrible-two impatience, kids tend to hate the feel of sticky, chalky sunscreens that take some serious muscle to rub in. A chemical or spray-on sunscreen would make life a lot easier for me as a mom, but I prefer for my son, Graydon, to wear a physical-only blocker. So I was thrilled when I applied this silky CeraVe option that’s formulated with titanium dioxide and zinc oxide one morning and found that it absorbed quickly and seemed to moisturize while it protected. Now when I go to put sunscreen on Graydon, he requests the CeraVe one by name. I’m sold!

Oui the People Hydrating Body Gloss

I love body oils because they’re easy to apply and give my arms and legs a glowy effect that looks especially great in the sun. I’m a fan of this formula because it’s non-greasy yet ultra hydrating, plus it’s unscented so it doesn’t irritate my skin post-shave. The Body Gloss is flying off the shelves this summer (for good reason), so I would advise adding to cart ASAP.

Sol de Janiero Brazilian Bum Bum Body Scrub

Body scrubs are my guilty pleasure all year round, but I especially crave them in the summertime when my bare limbs are more exposed to the outside world. Enter: the new Bum Bum Body Scrub featuring the signature Sol de Janeiro scent. This scrub contains a mixture of sugar crystals and crushed cupuaçu seeds that slough off dull, dead surface skin and leaves you glowing. I can’t get enough of this one, seriously.

Pixi Clarity Tonic

I’ve always struggled with large pores on my nose, but for whatever reason, ever since I’ve been social distancing they’ve become even more visible. I’m talking, like, borderline orange peel skin. It’s a point of insecurity for me, and it seems like everything tried didn’t make much of a difference. Until I got my hands on the Pixi Clarity Tonic, that is. This clarifying toner has been life-saving for me. It’s formulated with glycolic, lactic and salicylic acids to gently exfoliate, clarify and unclog pores. I’m not kidding when I tell you that after using this product one time, I noticed a huge difference in the appearance of my pores the next day. I’ve been consistently using it for about a week now, and the look of the pores on my nose has significantly improved. The best part about it is that despite the inclusion of many acids, it isn’t harsh or drying, thanks to the infused aloe vera and probiotics, so I can use it twice a day (morning and night) without experiencing any issues.

Maybelline New York the Falsies Lash Mask

My pre-bedtime routine is extensive. I like to make sure every part of my face is getting the TLC it deserves. From eye cream and lip balm to an eyebrow nourishing serum, I have all the bases covered, or so I thought. Maybelline recently dropped a Lash Mask, an overnight conditioning treatment that promotes healthy-looking eyelashes come morning. I’ve been using this product three times a week and have noticed that my lashes look more nourished and healthier. Plus, my mascara applies evenly and smoothly — no clumps in sight!

E.l.f. Cosmetics 50 Mg CBD Eye Cream

I love anything with CBD in it. It’s perfect for my sensitive skin, which can be especially tricky around my eye area. I’m constantly trying new eye creams because I can never find one that doesn’t irritate my skin in some fashion. The CBD and hyaluronic acid in E.l.f.’s new eye cream are super hydrating and soothing, and most importantly, they don’t irritate me. If your goal is to nourish your eye area, definitely pick this up.
