The Beauty Products Our Editors Couldn't Get Enough Of In 2017

Over the course of a year, our editors have tested out a heaping number of skin care products after receiving complimentary samples. With so many products to try, it’s only natural for us to have a handful of favorites. Curious to know which skin care products we’ll be re-stocking our arsenals with? Ahead, we name the tried-and-true products—from the L’Oreal portfolio of brands—that stuck by our side in 2017.

 Vichy Mineral 89

JACKIE BURNS BRISMAN

“I have three favorites:”

Vichy's Mineral 89“I rarely finish a skin care product, even if it's a favorite because I end up needing to test out something else. But, after recently tossing away an empty bottle and replacing it with a new one, it's clear this hyaluronic acid serum-meets-beauty booster is going to remain a constant in my routine. I love the lightweight moisture it provides and how it effortlessly glides on under the rest of my routine or just under my makeup application in the morning.”

Lancome Energie de Vie Pearly Lotion: “This essence isn't a new product but it's been newly incorporated in to my routine and I'm obsessed. I'm usually all about simple skin care routines with three steps but I'm willing to add in another step for this essence. I feel like it instantly refreshes my tired-looking complexion and leaves my skin glowing.”

SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic“I was already in love with C E Ferulic but every year that love just grows. I firmly believe if you're going to splurge on one skin care product this should be it. Use it in the morning before applying sunscreen and you're good to go!”

biotherm everplump

JESSICA KHORSANDI

Biotherm Aquasource Everplump Night: “Night/sleeping masks are among my favorite products to use in the evening, as they can help my skin look refreshed and revitalized upon waking. One of my favorites of 2017 is Biotherm’s Aquasource Everplump Night. It’s formulated with dark-cultivated microalgae, which is fermented in the dark and able to produce ‘energy-generating’ molecules in that environment. How neat is that? The formula also helps my skin feel replenished and appear more plump in the morning, giving new meaning to working the night shift.” Read Jessica’s review of Biotherm Aquasource Everplump Night here.

MARGARET FISHER

Yves Saint Laurent Volupté Tint-in-Oil: "I'd had a few of these lip oils mingling with my other balms and stains for a while, but hadn't paid them much attention until more recently. Now I'm obsessed, especially with the shade Love Me Nude. As a total lip balm addict, it's the perfect product for me, serving up both hydration and a tint so I don't have to reach for any other lip products."

La Roche-Posay Anthelios Mineral SPF 50: “I have oily, acne-prone skin so I’ve always hesitated toward slathering my face with sunscreen in the morning. I stumbled upon La Roche-Posay Anthelios Mineral SPF 50 Sunscreen and I’ve been hooked ever since. Not only did frequent applications help prevent me from getting sunburn in the Mediterranean, but it also gave me a nice dewy glow before I applied makeup. It doesn’t leave behind a greasy residue and after months of using it I’ve never broken out from it.”

REBECCA NORRIS

Garnier Micellar All-in-1 Mattifying Cleanser Water: "This year I’ve been busier than ever before, chasing my dreams and writing up a storm. In the process of creating content and attending events, I often found myself too tired to complete a traditional cleanse at the end of the day, but I knew how important it is to remove my makeup before slipping into bed. That’s where this stellar micellar water comes in. Not only does this rinse-free cleanser save time when I’m too tired to lather, but it helps to purify my pores and mattify oily areas. A true life-saver in skin care form.”
