Our Favorite Toners for Sensitive Skin

Toners can be a tricky skin-care product, especially if you have sensitive skin. They often contain ingredients like alcohol or witch hazel, which can be particularly drying and irritating to some. But not all toners are created equal. Ahead, we rounded up our favorite toners to try if you have sensitive skin that are formulated with gentle ingredients.

SkinCeuticals Equalizing Toner

This equalizing toner by Skinceuticals is alcohol-free and combines a mix of glycolic, citric, malic, tartaric and lactic acids to gently exfoliate. It rebalances sensitized and sensitive skin to leave it feeling refreshed.

Lancôme Tonique Confort

This hydrating toner with acacia honey and sweet almond oil helps give you velvety smooth skin. You can use it morning and night if you have dry, sensitive areas.

Kiehl’s Cucumber Herbal Alcohol-Free Toner

The cucumber herbal toner from Kiehl’s is a must if you have a sensitive complexion. It’s free of alcohol and won’t leave your skin feeling stripped or dry. Instead, it will mildly astringe the area for a softer feel and more radiant look.

Vichy Pureté Thermale Toner

Pureté is an ultra-gentle option that removes build up and residue. It also leaves skin feeling moisturized, clean and refreshed.

INNBeauty Project Down to Tone Toner

For a deep clean, reach for Down to Tone. It has a six-acid blend, plus antioxidants and soothing niacinamide to hydrate and support the skin barrier, which is great for those with sensitive skin.

Mario Badescu Aloe Vera Toner

This formula is super hydrating, made for sensitive skin types and won’t leave you feeling dry or uncomfortable.
