THE IMPORTANCE OF DRINKING WATER

Before we dive into the spa water recipes, let’s first talk about the importance of drinking the recommended amount of water daily. In order for your body to function properly, it’s imperative that you drink water and eat foods with H2O fluid in them. The reason? According to the Mayo Clinic, the lack of water in your system can prevent you from being able to carry out normal functions. In fact, even just the mildest dehydration can drain your energy and make you feel tired.

As for how much water you should drink per day, the answer isn’t so simple. There are different recommendations out there, and many factors come into play, including where you live, how active you are and your overall health. You’ve probably heard it before that eight glasses of water a day is the recommended amount of water to drink. According to the Mayo Clinic, that is a reasonable goal, but keep in mind that for some people drinking fewer than 8 glasses a day might be enough, while others may need a little more. Also, keep in mind that some of your water intake may come from food, such as fruits and vegetables.

WHAT CAN HAPPEN TO YOUR SKIN WHEN YOU DON’T DRINK ENOUGH WATER

Beyond the benefits to your health and body, drinking water can also make an impact on your skin. If you’re dehydrated, your skin can surely show it. That’s why, in addition to hydrating your skin on the outside with moisturizers, creams, lotions and ointments, it’s important to hydrate on the inside with H20 daily.
