Editor’s Pick: A Moisturizer That Works While You Snooze
If you’ve never tried a product from The Body Shop’s Oils of Life range, I’m unapologetic when I say that you’re missing out—big time. The line is based on the infusion of three precious seed oils—more on that below—from around the world known for their supreme revitalizing and nourishing properties. I’m a sucker for the brand’s Intensely Revitalizing Cream; it helps my skin feel soft and smooth without leaving a greasy feel. Now, much to my delight, I can get those same results while I snooze thanks to the brand’s recently-launched Oils of Life nighttime moisturizer aptly dubbed Intensely Revitalizing Sleeping Cream. Our friends at The Body Shop sent a sample over, and it’s safe to say that it’s earned a permanent spot in my regular skin care rotation.
This unique formula has grabbed my full attention for more reasons than one. Let’s start with the seed oils, one of the most concentrated sources of essential nutrients on Earth. The cream contains black cumin oil from Egypt—known for its concentration in antioxidants—rose hip oil from Chile—that’s rich in omega 3 and 6—and camellia oil from China—which is high in nutritive oleic acid. What’s more, those three seed oils are infused with seven powerful essential oils—read: lavender, rosemary leaf, geranium, orange peel, lavandin, marjoram leaf, and Roman chamomile—for truly intense nourishment night after night. The lightweight cream practically melts onto my skin and I can instantly notice a softer and suppler feeling. Better yet, the smoothness continues throughout the night and even upon waking. After continued nightly use, my skin appeared rested—even on short nights!—and more radiant. Truth be told, this product won’t replace my coveted beauty sleep, but it will be my new go-to for helping my tired, fatigued skin during shut-eye.
To use, gently massage the cream onto your face, neck, and décolleté using your fingertips in an upward motion while carefully avoiding the eye area. Leave it on overnight and wake up to revitalized skin. What could be better?
