Ahead, we tapped Skincare.com consulting expert, Dr. Hadley King, a NYC board certified dermatologist to learn more about gel skincare, plus we’re sharing some of our favorite products.

What Is Gel Skincare?

Dr. King notes that gel skincare products often contain humectants and light emollients to help hydrate the skin. 

Because of their lighter moisturizing ingredients, gel skincare products are suitable for oily skin types. “Make sure the products are non-comedogenic,” says Dr. King. “If they absorb quickly and your skin still feels dry, you can follow with a heavier moisturizer.”
