It’s been nearly a year since I started wearing a facial covering in public, which means that it’s been nearly a year of dealing with maskne. After all this time, I think I’ve finally found my holy grail maskne-fighting product in this spot corrector. It contains a mix of sulfur, glycolic acid and niacinamide to dry up and minimize zits, while preventing new ones from cropping up. Because it’s the winter and my skin is already devoid of moisture, I especially love that the formula is non-irritating and doesn’t leave dry patches behind.
Glow Recipe’s Watermelon face products are in constant rotation in my skincare routine, so I was excited to learn that the range would be expanding to include a body lotion. I had the opportunity to give it a try, and it does not disappoint. Like the rest of the line, it’s ultra-hydrating and smells heavenly. In addition to watermelon extract, it contains watermelon seed butter to moisturize and plant-based AHAs for gentle exfoliation. It makes my skin feel smooth and look even and hydrated. Shorts season, I’m ready for you!

Tanning at home has become a weekly ritual for me this past year due to COVID-19. And while I pretty much have my routine down for my body, I’ve had a tougher time finding tanners for my face due to my combination skin. I was excited to give the Sublime Bronze Facial Tanning Drops a go, though, because they contain good-for-your-skin ingredients like hyaluronic acid and glycerin. Needless to say, I’ve been using them almost every day since first trying them. I love how lightweight they feel on the skin, the gradual tan they build, and most importantly, the extremely subtle scent.
It’s taken me a year, but I think I’ve finally conquered maskne, thanks to lots of salicylic acid toners and silk face masks. The ones from Jules Kae have been an absolute lifesaver for my skin these past few months. Plus, they’re super soft and super chic.

Formulated with rosewater, hyaluronic acid, vitamin E, witch hazel and aloe vera, this facial balm is filled with skin-benefitting ingredients. It’s lightweight but moisturizing, and it’s gentle enough for all skin types. My favorite part is that it makes your skin feel soft almost instantly and adds a subtle sheen for a healthy and radiant-looking complexion.
One of my biggest skincare concerns during the winter is dullness, but trust me when I say, these pads have helped bring my complexion back to life. They’re formulated with witch hazel, lactic acid and poly-hydroxy-acid to tone the skin after cleansing and refine the look of large pores — I love that they’re effective yet gentle enough not to strip my skin. After one use my skin instantly looks more even, bright and smooth. Not to mention, the pads are also biodegradable because they’re made from bamboo fibers. I’m obsessed!

I’m always game for expanding my skincare routine if it means my acne-scarred skin will benefit from it. I’m happy to report that this glycolic acid serum has become a permanent fixture in my skincare arsenal for its ability to lighten my dark spots and post-acne hyperpigmentation. Bonus: It pairs well with my favorite moisturizer for an added skin repair boost that I so desperately needed this winter.

I’ve always struggled to find the perfect body lotion. With my extremely dry and sensitive skin and keratosis pilaris, it’s been difficult to find something that seriously moisturizes me but also has the perfect texture –– who wants a super greasy and sticky lotion? Thayers Naturals’ new body balms have been such a savior for me this winter. The combo of ingredients like oatmeal, aloe vera and coconut and jojoba oils is basically a dream cocktail for moisturization, and I’ve noticed that itchy and parched feeling that always comes with my dry skin has been seriously toned down since I’ve started using it. I also love that the balms have an unscented option, because I almost never know when my skin will breakout because of a fragrance. I don’t have to worry with this balm, and it’s been a game-changer for my skin.
